LIGHT CYCLE OIL (LCO)

Light Cycle Oil (LCO) is a middle distillate fuel with a density range of 0.82–0.88 kg/L and a high aromatic content. Commonly used as a blending stock in diesel fuel, LCO boosts cetane index and performance, especially in heavy-duty engines and power generation systems.

It has a low pour point (as low as -25°C) and a flash point up to 63°C, offering both fluidity and safety. With up to 0.15% sulfur and moderate viscosity, LCO also finds applications in marine fuels and industrial boilers for its energy density and combustion reliability.
